

home after an extended illness. He was surrounded by family and
friends. He was born February 3, 1950 at Heights Hospital in Houston,
to Mike and Lucy (Palazzola) Adamo.
Dominick graduated from Marian High School in 1968. He attended San
Jacinto Jr. College earning a degree in Printing and Publishing
Technology. After working as a printer and warehouse manager, he
became a crossing guard for Alief ISD, a job that he loved. Dominick
served in the United States Army from 1972 – 1974, being honorably
discharged as a Specialist E4. He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic
Church and Knights of Columbus Council 7036 as a 3rd degree. He was
passionate about wrestling and drag racing. He took pleasure in being
a backseat driver.
Survivors include his devoted wife Kathy (Loving), son Dominick and
wife Sara, brother Sam (Emily) and niece Sarah, as well as several
cousins. He had a great love for his pets, Maggie and Smokey. He was
preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 5-9 p.m. with rosary at
7:30 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale. Funeral services will be on
Saturday, July 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 7720
Boone Road. Internment will follow immediately at Forest Park
Lawndale Cemetery. A luncheon and fellowship will be held following
internment at the Community Center of Notre Dame Catholic Church.
The family wishes to express its sincere thanks to the many doctors,
nurses, and caregivers and A-Med Hospice, who have provided care to
Dominick throughout the years. A special thanks also to all of the
wonderful friends who have supported us.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Notre Dame
Catholic Church .
