

He graduated from John R. Reagan High School in Houston in 1958 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Texas Tech University in 1963. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force on June 6, 1963, and was honorably discharged as a Captain on July 31, 1974.
Donald worked as a Network Engineer at Southwestern Bell and later as a tutor for the blind at Lone Star College in Tomball, Texas.
He was passionate about crafting, birdwatching, fishing, gardening, genealogy, science fiction, photography, numbers, and cockatoos.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Keith Bova and Mossie McCann; his wife, Diana Bova; and his brother, Mark Bova.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Donna Snover, Steve Bova, and Jennifer Clark; his brothers, Joe Bova and Kenny Bova; and his grandchildren, Cassidy Bova and Keith Bova.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at StoneCreek of Copperfield Senior Living for the care and compassion shown to Donald in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend services at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas, on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by the service from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. and graveside services at 1:00 p.m.
