Donald Guedry passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 8, 2024, in Livingston, TX. He was born in Houston, TX to J. Everett O’dell Guedry and Teresa Luczak Guedry. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and completed a degree in Accounting/Finance at The University of Houston. Don pursued his career in Mutual Funds for over 30 years.
Don lived life to the fullest and was an adventurous spirit. He loved to plan memorable vacations, mostly involving beaches. He enjoyed anything outdoors, especially boating and camping. He was a family-oriented man, who enjoyed being with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Geraldine. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, his beloved wife of 55 years, Laurie Maverick Guedry, of Livingston, TX; his children, Katie Sniderwin and husband Brett, of Kingwood, and Donny Guedry, Jr. and wife Karen, of Spring; his grandchildren, Bryce, Connor & Evan Sniderwin, and Caleb & Dolan Guedry; his brother, Marvin Guedry and wife Rickey, of Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
