Donald W. Price

Donald W. Price, age 100, was born August 25, 1912 in Pittsburgh, PA. son of William Ewart Price and Emma Althea Price, passed away November 2, 2012 in Conroe, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII as a combat medic from 1942 to 1946. He was a member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars for over fifty years. Don worked for Gulf Oil Corporation for 41 years after being transferred from Pittsburgh to Houston in 1959. He was a member of the Harris County Senior Softball League from 1982 until 1990 and was inducted into the Texas Softball Hall of Fame in 2002. Don was a long time member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Houston. His son Donald Price, Jr. preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Vera Price of Conroe; his daughter, Bonnie Price Bey and son-in-law Adrian Bey of April Sound; his granddaughter, Shay Williams of April Sound; and his daughter-in-law, Kathleen Price of Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Private Services will be held Monday, November 5, 2012 at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
