Donnie Dell Leger, age 93, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Born in Houston, Texas, she was an excellent cook who could provide enormous delicious meals, and loved horror books and movies. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Wilfred “Bobby” Leger, Sr.; infant daughter, Robin Renee Leger; son, Wilfred “Sonny” Leger, Jr.; grandson, Jimmye Carl “Jimbo” Leger, Jr.; parents, Bridget and Alfred Rose; 2 brothers; and 5 sisters. Survived by daughters, Jacquelene Blizzard and husband William, Dorothy Priesmeyer and husband Bill, Bobbie Lou Henry, and Sheri DeLeon and husband Lou; son, Jimmye Leger and wife Beverly; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 12:30 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2014 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Billy Blizzard, Jerry Blizzard, Robert Blizzard, Bubba Priesmeyer, John Ryals, Mitchel Dacus, and Michael Dacus.
