Dorany was born in Cambodia. Since he was an orphan at a young age, he was raised in the temple. He was educated and became a police officer for the King under the old government.
The family was separated during the Khmer Rouge Genocide War/Vietnam War. They were reunited after the war ended. Dorany and his family are Cambodian refugees who came to Houston to live the American dream in Houston, Texas on April 27, 1981. His second career was at Bush Continental Airport. He moved to Irving, TX to live with his youngest son, Sambau.
Dorany was a very loving man. He knew no strangers. If you happened to be in his path, you would be his friend, then family member. He didn’t have much to give, but if he had it and you needed it, it was yours. He's a great man with a generous heart.
His passions were his family and gardening. He would grow any plants, especially edible kinds. He enjoyed giving what he grew. He will be missed, but never forgotten. We love you!
