Doris Florine Duff, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away February 10, 2016 at 95 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Zane Duff; her mother, father, three brothers and one sister. Doris was born in Killeen, Texas January 4, 1921. Her family resided in the Valley for many years where she received her schooling before moving to Corpus Christi to attend Business College. There she met and married Zane Duff in 1949. Zane and Doris lived in Louisiana several times- where they had two sons. Zane was employed with oil-field related companies. The family moved to Houston in 1964- where they made their home for 41 years. Doris moved to Katy in 2005 to be near her sons. She was an avid homemaker, gardener, and friend to those she met. She had a passion for baseball- anyone, anywhere, anytime. Doris is survived by her two sons-Steven and Theresa of Katy, Randy and Lynn of Cypress- grandchildren; Kevin, Katie, Taryn and Dylan. - great-grandsons Casey and Will.
Visitation 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home followed by Graveside Services at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to favorite charity of choice.
