Dorothy was born to John Wessley Henson and Frances Electra Wimberley, April 28, 1928 in Waco, Texas.
She married Wilfred B. Causey and lived in Houston, Texas. They had four children together: David Michael Causey, Rhonda Sue Causey, William B. (Skip) Causey and Donald Eugene Causey.
Dorothy is survived by daughter, Rhonda Sue McManus and son, Donald E. Causey, and ex-daughter-in-law, Kathy Jones. Grandchildren: (10) - David Ray Mutchler, Donald Wayne and Jan Millions, Jesse Ray Brown, Calisa and Kodie Thomas, Patrick C. Causey, David M. Causey, Nicholas and Caitlyn Causey. Great-grandchildren: (16)– Jesse Millions, Zaxery Millions, Seaonna Millions, Zaloren Millions, Chelsea Longley, Chuck Causey, Marty Causey, Jayden Bear, Lily Lowrey, Karra Lowrey, Brooklyn Causey, Alanah Causey, Easton Causey, Haddie Brown, Jake Thomas, Ezra Thomas. She is preceded in death by Wilfred B. Causey (husband), David M. Causey (son) and William (Skip) B. Causey (son)
Dorothy was a business owner and a single Mother of four when she opened her retail clothing business in 1973. Silva Saddle Western Wear, in Anchorage, Alaska has been a long-established business for 49 years and still thriving. A walk through her store is a walk through the history of country music as she was loved by many country singers as seen by the many autographed picture tributes hanging in her store. She made many life-long friends. Her hobbies were fashion shows, rodeos, and entertaining her customers, Dea never knew a stranger. People were drawn to her and instantly friends for life. She loved taking care of her children, grand children and great grand children and many, many adopted kids from all around the world. She was a member and supporter of Am-Vets, VFW, Shriners, supporter of Frank Koloski, Rodeo Alaska and known by many as “Mama Dea”.
Dr. Keith Alredge, Pastor, husband to Deborah Alredge (niece) will be officiating the funeral service for “Aunt Dea”.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM. A committal service will occur Monday, August 15, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
