Dear Aunt Dorothy,

So many holidays and so many weekends at Grandma and Grandpa Mauro's. You shared many, many days of fun with us 7 grandkids running around the backyard on Chantilly Ln! Then after the loss of Grandpa you continued to be a part of our everyday lives at Aunt Joe Ann's. You were always there sharing the laughter and fun with us. I will always cherish those memories and will always remember you in that way. My prayers go out to all that loved you and are feeling your loss today.

Dear Aunt and friend,

It was so hard knowing you were ill,but not to what extent.
You gave so much of your love and support to others, only to watch the one's you love pass away.You were always so kind, goodhearted and sensitive,to others and their needs.
You will be deeply missed by so many!
YOU were an ANGEL on earth as you are
now in HEAVEN!
Your pain is gone, and you are in a great place, with all your loved ones you watched pass.
May GOD help us all through this pain we feel, and these tears we shed for our loss.
Dorothy,you know why Pat & I were unable to attend your service and I know you understand.
My prayers are for Kirby during this time, as I know you would want them to be. I know how close you held her to your heart, and how much she had to have loved you.

I will miss Dorothy and I am sad that she has passed on. She was kind, energetic, funny and full of life. She loved traveling and new adventures and Dorothy loved her many friends. I will miss sitting in the den with Dorothy and my father talking politics, reading and telling stories from our travels together. Dorothy was generous with her hospitality when I was visiting and she always welcomed my friends into their home. Dorothy was quick to laugh and she entertained us with anecdotes from her years at Tenneco.I will look fondly upon the times she and I shared over lunch or chatting in the kitchen. 
Dorothy was good friend to my mother, a wonder wife for my father and a loving stepmother for me.
Dorothy was very close to her family and we are happy to have had her in our family for those eight years. Love, Valerie

  It was a honor to care for you. I love and miss you dearly. I not only cared for you but, I learned from you. Everyone knows that you were a very accomplished woman but I would like everyone to also remember that you were a very selfless woman that cared for friends and loved ones at the ends of their lives as well. You made so many sacrifices to do for others. I admire you for this. I know now you are in a better place and as hard as it is to let you go, I know you are in the loving arms of God. Dear Aunt Dorothy,

Thank you so much for sharing your life with me! You inspired me to do more things, go more places, and meet more people. I did all that and have you to thank. You taught me to be independent and to be myself always. Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. Your beauty and bravery will always be remembered.

Dearest Aunt Dorothy,

For as long as I can remember, you inspired me to broaden my outlook on life.  As a young girl, I used to look at you and think how I wanted to be just like you when I grew up (I know now those were shoes too big for me to fill)!  You were the world traveller, you worked "downtown" in a big office building.  You were fascinating to me then and going through your photos last night, it hit me that you were WAY more fascinating than I ever got to know!  What a life!  I love you with all my heart and will miss you so much, but I know you're on your best journey now and you're in the hands of God.

We are sad to hear of Dorothy's passing. Married to my father-in-law for eight years, Dorothy became part of our family. Dorothy was particularly fond of my Wife, Valerie who she knew for over forty years. We traveled extensively with Dorothy, including many trips to Europe as well as to Alaska on our boat where she caught a 40 pound king salmon!
Although we lived quite a long distance away, Dorothy would always call us and we would spend hours on the phone with her. Dorothy particularly liked visiting us in California where we would take long road trips to the Hearst Castle and the Central Coast. We will never forget the fun times we all had on New Years in Palm Desert and  at the Houston Rodeo.
We will always remember Dorothy for the happiness she brought to Mr. Hill during their eight year marriage. Dorothy was a loving caring person we will miss her dearly. We loved Dorothy's sense of humor and we will miss her laugh. May she rest in peace. Randy Hunt

We are sad to hear of Dorothy's passing. Married to my father-in-law for 8 years, I got to know Dorothy very well. Although we lived quite some distance away, we would constantly stay in contact with phone conversations lasting hours at a time. Dorothy was particularly fond of my wife, Valerie, who she know for over forty years. Dorothy brought happiness to our family and we will always remembered her for being a loving and caring person.
