Dorothy Marie Norton, 92, known affectionately to family and friends as Bicki, passed away on June 5, 2011, after a brief illness. Bicki was born in Greenville, Texas, on June 11, 1918. After graduating from high school, she went to work at what was then the National Bank of Commerce, now JP Morgan Chase. She worked there for 43 years and was one of three employees who started the bank's choir. Bicki was preceded in death by her parents, Clem Bell Norton and Nina Eleanor Lindsey Norton, and her brother and sister-in-law , Ardis Noel Norton and Lillian Sekaly Norton. She is survived by cousins Vickie Valentine of Louisville, Tennessee, and Sulane Fannin and Larry Norton of Greenville, Texas, and special friends, Ray Rosenbaum, Kathy Moquin, Coleen Ryan and Margaret Cazares of Houston, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 10, 2011, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery; Rev. Derrell Nunley will officiate. Friends are asked to gather in the lobby at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home no later than 9:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gulf Coast Hospice, 9555 W.
