

Earl F. "Tim" Tilton III, a lifelong Houstonian, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026. Born in Houston on October 13, 1947, Tim attended the University of Houston before building a successful career in machine tool sales, where he was respected for his integrity, strong work ethic, and lasting relationships.
Tim found his greatest joy outdoors. He loved golfing, fishing at the Brazos River Club, and hunting on family land in Jewett, Texas, where countless memories were made with family and friends. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially watching sports from the comfort of his living room.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Earl F. Tilton, Sr. and Marguerite Tilton.
He is survived by his children, Roxie Crowley (Kurt) and Earl Tilton IV; his grandchildren, Avery and Mia Crowley, and Reese Tilton; his siblings, Tom Tilton (Terri), Cindy Herndon, and Kelly Marsella (Tod); along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Above all, Tim placed his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. His family rejoices that he is now in the presence of his Savior and finds peace in the promise that they will see him again in heaven.
A celebration of Tim's life will be held on Tuesday, June 30, at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
Tim will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for the outdoors, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.
