Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, also at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery of Houston.
Mrs. Hickman is preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Leroy Hickman, and her son, Richard Hickman.
Along with a 22 year career as an accountant for Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, Mrs. Hickman was best known for her work as a doting mother and grandmother. Her life was devoted to helping others. She had a sweet spirit and caring way that touched so many. Everyone who knew "Jean" enjoyed her generosity, her sense of humor and her genuineness.
Mrs. Hickman lived a long and happy life and will be lovingly missed by all.
