I am so sad because I have to work that day and can't get off because I just started my job.. Buddy, MaryJean, Kelly, and Teri my prayers are with you.  Robert, Pat, Tiffany,Scott, and Kristina I'm sorry you will not be able to be there either but we will have the wonderful memories of our beloved Mavis. No one that I know was a stronger Chrstian than dear Mavis. It was so special Mavis that you went to be with the Lord on Momma (Beverly) birthday. I know you loved each other very much and I'm sure it was a great day. I thought about you so much through the years   You were such an influence in my life. I remember all the times you took me to your church. The times I set in the pew and watched you sing in the choir..  All the times we had dinner at your house or you came for dinner at Mom and Dad's. The trip we made to California. I could go on and on. I love you Aunt Mavis.

She must have been a fabulous woman to have left behind such an amazing family! Love, hugs, and prayers to you all!

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Ms. Mavis.  May God Bless Ms. Mavis and her family.  Ms. Mavis was a great role model and spiritual leader who taught me so much! Growing up next door to Ms. Mavis was an awesome experience.  She tried to teach me to play the piano and made an awesome glass of ice tea.  I always looked forward to VBS, she always invited all the neighborhood kids to attend.  She loved her Astros and listened or watched their games.  I miss her and her dog Dilly.  My her legacy live on!  She will forever be missed!  We love you!
