Edna Faye Burlin

Edna Faye was born on September 20, 1932, in Houston, Texas to Robert William and Lillie Mae Dueboay.

Edna Faye grew up in the Denver Harbor area on the east side of Houston. Edna Faye married George Cleton Burlin on November 19, 1955. Edna Faye was a stay-at-home mom and raised her 4 children until they all graduated from high school. She then went to work for the Sheldon ISD as a teachers aide in the special services department. She retired after 20 years of service to the school district. Edna Faye had many, many friends and loved every one of them. She was a devout Christian in the Baptist faith. She was very active at Parkway Baptist Church in the Sheldon area and Monument Baptist Church in Deer Park. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling across Texas with her husband, George, and best friends Bobby and Shirley Lucas and playing cards with her lady friends.

Edna Faye is preceded in death by her husband George, her daughter Sherri Burlin Stewart, her parents Robert William and Lillie Mae Dueboay, and her brother Robert W. Dueboay Jr..

She is survived by her sons Randy Burlin (Lori), Scott Burlin (Stacy), Larry Burlin (Lori) as well as her grandchildren Laci Stewart Fry, Shane Stewart, Jason Burlin (Snow), William Burlin, Nicholas Burlin, Justin Burlin, Jessica Burlin DeGraff (Marshall) and 9 great-grandchildren : Chelsea, Caitlyn, Coalson, Carly, Wyatt, Layna, Kady, Milam and Brooks.

Funeral services will be held at and under the direction of Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas on
