Herzog and Henrietta Parker Herzog.
She was raised and educated in Texas. She was married to Edward Carlile Choate, II “Ned.” The couple made their home in Sugar Land, Texas where they were happily united in marriage for 25 years until the time of his passing on June 9th of 1994. Edna was a proud ballet teacher, dancer, and owner of Herzog Dance Centre, as well as being the director of Herzog Ballet Company. She began her love of dance by opening her first studio at the age of 21, expanding to another studio in Clear Lake. She retired at the tender age of 70, when she took the stage for her final dance performance. She was excited about taking better care of herself and spending some time with her beloved animals. Edna was a member of Sugar Land Presbyterian Church.
Edna is survived by her four nieces: Elaine Kestin and her husband Hesh Kestin; Susan Rebecca Dietz; Jennifer June Dorris and her husband Kenneth Dorris; Linda Amendt; her stepsons: Mark Merrimon Choate and Edward Carlile Choate, III; as well as her great nieces and nephews.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Choate, II; her
mother, Henrietta Herzog; her father, Rodney Robert Herzog; her
brother, Rodney Herzog; her nephew-in-law, Charles Edward Amendt; and her stepdaughter, Ame Choate Flynn. We take solace in knowing that she has reunited with her family that is waiting for her in heaven.
