Edward Michael Fluker

Edward Michael (Mike) Fluker of Houston, Texas passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 88. Mike was born on May 11, 1937, in Houston where he attended Jefferson-Davis High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Houston where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and became a Certified Public Accountant. Mike is a US Airforce Veteran.

Mike started his professional career as an accountant with TB Trotter Company and Ernst & Ernst. He then went into private business as CFO of Perpetual Corporation, President of Schill Steel Corporation, and CFO of Media News Group. Mike retired from his professional career in 2001 when he turned his priority to family.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, William J. Fluker, Jr. and mother, Mourine Hebert Fluker.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Arlene Schleeter Fluker; daughter Kristen Fluker Richardson and husband, David, of Houston; son Steven Fluker and wife, Janice, of Dallas.

Grandchildren: Trenton Richardson and wife Mary of Chicago. Sydney Fluker, Emily Fluker and Abby Fluker of Dallas.

Siblings: Donald Fluker (Linda), William “Bill” Fluker (Jo), Denise Fluker Mueller (Richard).

A private family service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale on Saturday, September 20,2025, followed by internment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
