Edward (Ed) Albert Mendoza passed away at his home in Houston at the age of 63. He was born on March 30, 1950 in Houston Texas. Edward was preceded in death by his mother, Lupe G. Ramirez. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Cynthia and Richard Hanlon, Edward and Irma Mendoza, his granddaughters, Celeste Fiser and Lauryn Mendoza, his partner, Alma Romo and her children, David and Eric. Other survivors include his father, Jose A. Ramirez, and siblings, Joseph L. Ramirez, Patricia Ramirez and Michael S. Ramirez. He was in the Air Force and served his country proudly. He was employed by GE Oil and Gas as a mechanical engineer for over thirty years. He was very active at his church, Prince of Peace, singing and playing in the choir and serving as lector. He played the guitar, bass and piano and was a very accomplished vocalist. He loved music! The visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale on Monday, October 21, from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be on Tuesday, October 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
