Eladio is preceded in death by his daughter, Ninfa Elsa Herrera; parents, Daniel and Petra Herrera; siblings, Carmen, Leonor, Antonio, and Armando; great granddaughter Ariana Rosario Rosales.
He is survived by, wife Ninfa S. Herrera of 56 years; children, Juan Ariel Herrera and wife Kim, Alberto Daniel Herrera and wife Amy, Nora Herrera Garcia and husband Gerardo, and Eladio Uriel Herrera, and Micco; siblings; Maria, Rosario Herrera; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
Eladio enjoyed going to the casinos, The Monument Inn, Tepatitlan, and Don Carlos. He loved watching sports and his favorite teams were Los Tigres and Los Rayados. He also enjoyed watching Novelas. His favorite foods were seafood, menudo, tamales, tostadas siberias, and carne asadas. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family. He was known as "Papi Layo" by all of the grandchildren and he loved to give a nickname to all of the grandchildren. In his early years he was a boxer and enjoyed working out.
