Beth Hall died after a lengthy illness on April 28, 2021. She was 61 years old.

Beth was born on September 25, 1959, in Houston, Texas. She was a sixth generation Texan. She graduated from Marian High School in Houston and Blinn College in Brenham.

After graduating from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services, she joined the family business, Earthman Funeral Directors, which was established in 1889 by her great grandfather, James B. Earthman, Sr. She was the 4th generation Earthman to go into the family business.

Beth’s greatest joys were her animals, racing her horse across the fields on the historic 1830 Earthman farm near LaGrange, long trail rides across Texas, and raising winning Quarter Horses that raced in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico. She also loved raising golden retrievers and dozens of special pets throughout her lifetime. She loved cooking, playing pool, bowling, playing cards and family events. To say Beth loved the Houston Astros was an understatement, watching every game all season long was a passion. Beth was kind and compassionate, always recognizing every birthday and holiday with gifts. One of her greatest joy was being a loving Grammy.

Beth was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Gaunt Earthman, brother James B. Earthman IV, and high school sweetheart and first husband Gerald Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years John Hall, daughter Jessica Hall Fluker and husband Mike, son Bryon Phillips and grandchildren, Riley Fluker and fiancée Riley, and Sarah Phillips. Her father James B. Earthman III and wife Cynthia. Her brothers and sisters, Sissy Lappin and husband Mark, Katie Cullen and husband Harry, Bill Earthman, John Earthman and wife Michele, Addie Pappous and husband Norman, and Dr. Jennifer Worsham and fiancée Austin. Her brother-in-laws, Russell Hall and wife Cindy, and Darrell Hall and wife Faith. I was saddened to read in the newspaper that Beth had passed. It seems like only yesterday we were young girls in Sharpstown. Beth was sweet and a little quiet, but with beautiful light red hair and a really great smile. I was a few years older, so her Mom asked me to baby sit a few times, primarily with John and Katie. From the obituary it seems Beth had a wonderful life - full of fun and love. I will remember her that way. Rest in Peace Beth.

Although I never worked directly with Beth I always enjoyed visiting with her when I would see her at Resthaven. She was always so easy to talk to and we always found a little humor to lighten each others day during those infrequent encounters. She will be missed. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with the Earthman Hall families during this difficult time.

While I was blessed to have met Beth only a few times I felt like I’d known her for a lifetime. Beth was one of the finest woman I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and meeting. She’ll be missed by many.

Thank you for your kindness. May you be resting in a place as beautiful as you are. My condolences and prayers to the Earthman Hall family. God Bless You

I’m so sad to learn about Beth’s passing. Although I haven’t seen her in years, since I don’t live in Houston anymore, I still considered her one of my best and oldest friends. We grew up together and had so much fun hanging out, riding horses, and just being there for each other. She was the sweetest, most loving person and a great friend. She never missed sending well wishes on holidays. I will miss Beth terribly. Sending condolences to John and Beths whole family.

I first met Beth when I began my cemetery career working for the the Earthman family. Beth and I became good friends when we found we both loved horses and racing them and even became co owners in one or two. My husband thought the world of Beth and talked to her often about horses. I know John and all the family will miss her so much . May God Bless all of you. Sue Springer

I enjoyed working with Beth at Earthman Resthaven, when I was a sales Counsellor. She was very thorough with making arrangements with her families. May she RIP now, to suffer no longer.

When I first started working with Beth at Resthaven, she took me under her wing and taught me so much. Being the same age, growing up in the same area of Houston, we just hit it off. Her desk always had pictures of family and horses. And horse calendars. And stories of horses...

We'll miss you, Beth.

Beth and I both had the love of race horses and golden retivers. I can see her smile and hear her laughter. We had a great time at Bobby's crawfish boil a few years back. Eating and drinking Prosecco provided by Michelle. You will be missed cuz♥️

Beth and I had so much fun in JH. we would have sleep overs at her house all the time and sneak out in the night and go to Denny's and eat and then go home. We had so many good times together. Heaven has gained a wonderful person. God bless you Beth.
