Elizabeth Ann Bielamowicz Krusleski died on June 11, 2022, at the age of 79. She was born on October 21, 1942, in Houston, Texas and was the oldest child of her loving parents Alexander and Sophie. She grew up with her beloved siblings Larry, Bernadette, Cornelius, Dorothy, Raymond, Julie, Anthony, and Cecilia in Houston. She attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School and graduated from Incarnate Word High School. She met, courted, and married the love of her life, Harry Krusleski. Together they raised their four sons and made sacrifices to send them to Catholic schools: St. Charles Borromeo, Seton Catholic Junior High, and St. Pius X High school. A devout Catholic, Elizabeth was active in her church and served as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion at St. John Neumann Catholic Church and assisted in counting the weekly collections. As a volunteer, she served as the Head Room Mom at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School, helped prepare lunch in the school cafeteria, drove on many school trips and sewed costumes for school events. She was a den mother and was the first to introduce her sons to Scouting.
Elizabeth’s first job was selling shoes at Chandler’s. She told humorous stories about what happened when people bought the shoe size they wanted instead of their correct shoe size. After staying home to raise her sons for many years, Elizabeth was asked by her best friend Margaret to work temporarily for Southwestern Bell while a coworker was out on maternity leave. Many years later, she retired from AT&T to help her siblings take care of her ailing parents.
She was very close to her family and always emphasized the importance of being there for each other. She put this into action by taking care of her younger siblings. In later years, she helped to arrange family celebrations and picnics so that everyone could be together on special occasions. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters shopping, baking, and making crafts.
Elizabeth was a woman of many talents. She cooked and fed anyone who was at her house. Everyone was welcome. You never left her home hungry. One of her specialties was sugar cookies. She started off making Christmas tree shaped cookies and expanded to cross-shaped cookies at Easter. She also enjoyed crocheting and embroidery and making special crafts. Over the years, she crocheted many blankets and hand-made many gifts and party favors, especially at Christmas and showers.
As the family grew, Elizabeth and Harry enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren. Together they would attend sporting events, competitions, and theatrical events. There was hardly a week where they were not going somewhere to support their grandchildren. She loved spending time at their country place in Iola, Texas, especially when their grandchildren and great-grandson came to visit.
Throughout her cancer treatment, she kept her faith and wanted to continue to be helpful to her caregivers. She was able to attend Mass, a birthday, baby showers and her grandson’s ordination. Also, she enjoyed one-on-one time with her sons when they took care of her.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Harry Gene Krusleski: infant grandson, Jonathon Hunter Krusleski son of Kenneth Krusleski; her parents, father Alexander Bielamowicz and mother Sophie (Pisarz) Bielamowicz; brothers-in-law, Bryan Davis and Dr. Darwin Boardman; sister, Juliana Krajca; and infant sister, Maria Bielamowicz.
