Elizabeth Edson McGillicuddy was born January 08, 1927 in Corsicana, Texas. She passed away on November 15, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Elizabeth attended Stephens College and the University of Texas. She married Daniel Wisdom McGillicuddy on February 14, 1947. She loved ballroom dancing, traveling to competitions in various countries. Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents, Dwight J. and Ruth Annett Edson; step-mother, Mary Beal Edson; brothers, Dwight J. Edson, Jr., Richard Edson, David Edson and step-brother, Bill McClellan. Survivors include daughter, Karen Bovett and husband Chris; sons, Timothy Edson McGillicuddy and wife Sherry, Daniel Kevin McGillicuddy and wife Patricia, Keith Corbett McGillicuddy and wife Allison; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in the Reception Suite of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Main Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with interment in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of choice.
