
She is preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Clara Dolezal Mozisek, sister and brother-in-law Viginia and Clem, husbands Frank Konvicka Jr., Glen Dewey Rider, and Alvie Mitchell.
She is survived by her sons Frank III and wife Micol, Patrick and wife Joyce, daughter Theresa and husband Sherman. Six grandchildren: Frank IV and wife Tracy, Michael David, Troy and wife Karen, "Cowboy" Peter and wife Ilena, Jeffery and wife Leslie, Amanda and husband John. Ten great-grandchildren: Brian and wife Jennifer, Brandon and wife Katherine, Michael II, Matthew, Halee, Krystal,Taylor, Bonnie, Lily, and Benjamin. Seven great-great-grandchildren: Bailee, Brayden, Stella, Bryleigh, Kazleigh, Beaux, and Grayson.
In December 1953, while attending church with her mother-in-law, Mable Rider, Elizabeth accepted Jesus Christ into her heart as her personal Lord and Savior. From that moment she was a faithful follower of Christ. She was baptized and joined Woodsdale Baptist in Houston on January 24, 1954, where she actively attended and served until April 1964. From April 19, 1964 until her death she was a member of Memorial Baptist, originally located on Airline Drive in Houston now located on Kuykendahl in Spring, Texas. If the church doors were open she was there, usually wearing one of her colorful hats on Sunday mornings. She sang in the choir, was involved in WMU, attended some GA camps, helped with the food pantry, and worked in the Library. She was a faithful member until she became unable to drive in 2014.
Elizabeth received a nursing degree in 1958 and after a brief hospital employment she was offered the opportunity to serve several wonderful patients as a private duty LVN until her retirement in the early to mid 1970's.
She enjoyed spending time with all of her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. She was blessed with a green thumb and spent much time in her yard and solarium planting, transplanting, and pampering her plants and flowers.
From 1954 and throughout the remainder of her life, Elizabeth's answers to the questions that were asked of her by friends, family, especially children and young people: She quoted a scripture, because as she would say, "scripture is the best answer because It is God's Word."
A visitation for Elizabeth will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
