Elizabeth Marie Rodriguez

She graduated from The University of Houston on May 14, 1993, with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Technology.

She worked as a family law paralegal with Schlanger, Silver, Barg, Paine, LLP under attorney Patsi Wicoff for 30 years.

She was actively involved in going to Cougar games, traveling with her family, parents and sister. Her favorite hobbies were shopping and cooking. She most enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by their mother-in-law, Geneva Rodriguez, grandmothers, Beatriz Guerrero and Ana Gonzales. Several uncles and aunts, and beloved Cousin Sylvia Davila.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Joshua Rodriguez Jr., and only son, Benjamin Rodriguez. She is also survived by her parents, Manuela and Alejandro Guerrero, her only sister, Toni Guerrero, her brother Alejandro Jr. and his wife Regina, her brother, Michael and his wife Nancy, as well as her nephews, Alejandro III, Michael, and Matthew.

The family would like to thank the staff from MD Anderson for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days. The family would especially like to extend their deepest gratitude to her husband, Joshua, her parents, her sister Toni Guerrero, sisters-in-law Nancy Guerrero, Regina Guerrero, Marcella Romero, and Cuz-Veronica Rodriguez, as well as her bestie, Amy Doyle, for the love, care, and support they so selflessly gave during her time in hospice at home. Your compassion, gentle presence, and unwavering devotion brought comfort and peace not only to her, but to all who loved her. We will forever be grateful for the countless ways you showed up for our family during such a difficult time.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, Grand chapel, on May 27, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary Service at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 4015 Sherman St, Houston, on May 28, 2026, at 11:00 am followed by a Committal Service at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
