Rev. Elizabeth S. Rodriguez

Rev. Elizabeth Rodriguez of Houston Texas was reunited with her husband Rev. Porfirio Rodriguez on Sunday August 23, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born in Three Rivers, Texas, where she grew up as a daughter of a Minister and taught herself how to play many instruments that included guitar, piano and accordion.

Her love of God lead her to sing and play her instruments in the church at a very young age, until she passed. She married her husband, Porfirio Rodriguez, and lived in Edinburgh, Texas and then moved to Houston, Texas, where she then became a Co-Pastor with her husband at Ven Y Ve Evangelical Revivals.

She was very active in the church and served her community by leading many women's church groups and volunteering. Her hobbies included singing, playing and writing music and reading.

She loved God and all her family and friends fiercely, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Porfirio Rodriguez, and survived by her daughters Lisa Rodriguez and Elda Reyna-Welfel and her husband Jimmie Welfel, along with her grandchildren Rene Reyna and his wife Olivia Reyna, Porfirio Zachary Rodriguez and his wife Thais Rodriguez, Robert Reyna, Ashley Eichberger-Gomez and her husband Manuel Gomez, Janice Dayton and Jennifer Dayton and her great grandchildren Jaimie Reyna, Erik Reyna, Ryleigh Reyna and MacKenzie Dayton-Martinez.

Everyone is invited to attend Rev. Elizabeth Rodriguez's Celebration of Life Service at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home located at 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023, on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 5PM-9PM. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 10AM-11AM with Burial Service at 11AM-12PM.
