Ella Frances Schlitzkus

Ella was born in Snook, Texas June 17, 1927 to Willie B. and Frances Gerzik Hejl. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alexander Schlitzkus; brother, Edwin Hejl and sister, Lillian Hejl Paul. Ella came to Houston after graduating from Snook High School to attend nursing school in 1945 where she met her husband Alexander. While raising a family with her husband, she pursued a career in the Insurance profession as an underwriter for more than 30 years and retired from John L Wortham. Ella is survived by her children: Dale & Launa Schlitzkus of Spring, Tx, Michael & Teresa Schlitzkus of Montgomery, Tx, Dianne & Stephen Ross of Montgomery, Tx, and Debbie & Russell Corgey of Conroe, Tx; 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 22800 Aldine Westfield Rd., Spring, Texas 77373. Rite of Committal will be 11:45 a.m. at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
