Ellis H. "Jack" Carter passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the age of 71. After serving in the United States Army he returned home to Houston, Tx. Upon his return he began a career in banking followed by many years in the railroad industry. He is survived by his wife Edith Carter, one son; Nick T.Carter, two daughters; Angela Willms and Nancee Standley, one brother; Wayne Carter, four grandchildren; Jacob and Kailee Hinojosa, Elizabeth Willms and Ashlyn Carter and three step grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday the 6th at 11:00 a.m. in the Main Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A visitation will take place Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the start of funeral services in the Main Chapel.Burial will take place at Houston National Cemetery immediately following funeral services.
