Elsie Mabel Bauer

Elsie's family dates back from among the early German immigrant settlers of the Spring Branch area, where she was a life long resident. She was baptized on May 25, 1924 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church by Pastor J. Ziegler. She was a bookeeper. Elsie enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School at Spring Branch Community Church and volunteering at Spring Branch Hospital. She is a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gussie E. Bauer and his wife, Dorris M. Bauer and J.C. Bauer, Jr.; sister, Helen Marie Bauer Harris and her husband, William G. Harris. Survived by her sister, Lenora M. Bauer and sister-in-law, Mary Jane Bauer. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2012 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4115 Blalock, Rev. (Red) Russell Etzel, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
