

Emelia Martha Teinert, widow of Walter Herman Teinert, was born June 3, 1909, in Houston, Texas to Otto Edward and Martha Louise Windt, and went to her heavenly home on September 4, 2011 at 102 years old. She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church all her life and served often as church organist in her youth. She also served as a Girl Scout Leader, PTA Chairman, championship breeder in the American Spaniel Club, Lapidary Society member, and was a talented artist.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randolph Errol Teinert and grandson, Randolph, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Daily, wife of James Daily, Jr. and their three children: Kathryn Segner, wife of Edmund Segner, III; James Daily, III; and Richard Daily, married to Cindy Barrett Daily. Also surviving is Randolph’s widow, Jacquelin Hartwick Teinert and their two children: Diana Peterson, wife of John Peterson; and Stephen Teinert, married to Debra Maupin Teinert. In addition Emelia is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Heights Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Rosewood Memorial Park, Humble, Texas. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church, 3606 Beauchamp, Houston, Texas 77009. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
