She is preceded in death by her mother, Aurora Sanchez Hernandez; father, Melton Zepeda Ojeda; sisters, Judy R. Gonzales (husband, Odell Tristan Gonzales) and Margie Ojeda; brother-in-law, Paul Rodriguez Sr.; and brothers, Arthur Ojeda and Ricky Fabian Ojeda.
She is survived by her siblings: sisters, Dora Diaz (George Diaz Jr.), Carol Cruz (Armondo Cruz Sr.), Wanda Rodriguez, and Alice Gallardo (Armando Gallardo); and brothers, Theodore Ojeda, Manuel Cruz Ojeda (Yvonne Ojeda), Andrew Ojeda Sr. (Rosa Ojeda), Rudy Ojeda, Paul Tommy Ojeda, and Jesse Hernandez (Paulette Hernandez). She is also survived by her godson, Xavier Aaron Munoz; goddaughter, Zenia Ledezma; and over six generations of nieces and nephews.
Emily graduated from San Jacinto High School, and upon graduation, she enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1970. She received many medals and ribbons for her outstanding military service. After 20 years of dedication and commitment to the USAF, Staff Sergeant Emily Ojeda, a Law Enforcement Supervisor, retired with honor.
Emily touched the hearts of many, and she will forever remain in ours.
A reception will immediately follow the committal service at the American Legion, 708 E. Parker Rd., Houston, TX 77076, until 5 p.m.
