Emma Lillian Kokemoor

Emma Lillian Schroder Kokemoor, born April 14, 1920 to August W. and Helen (Tewes) Schroder, passed away on October 23, 2011. Emma is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Kokemoor; her brothers, Arthur H. Schroder and August W. Schroder, Jr; sisters, Helen Schroder Bortz, Marion Schroder Briggs, Dorothea Schroder Funderburk, and Alice Schroder Burkhart, and son-in-law, Rev. William Schumann. Emma was a native Houstonian, and an active lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. She is survived by her children, Susan Schumann of La Crosse, WI, and Richard H. Kokemoor (Gail Tasch) of Eau Claire, WI; grandchildren, Andrew Kokemoor of Madison, WI, Elizabeth Kokemoor and Thomas Kokemoor of Eau Claire, WI, Matthew Schumann of La Crosse, WI, Angela Schumann Bina (David J. Bina) of Milwaukee, WI, and Christiana Schumann (Pyong C. Kim) of Renton, WA; Great Grandchildren, Samuel Schumann of Madison, WI, Nathan Bina and Emily Bina of Milwaukee WI, Greta Kim and Theodore Kim of Renton WA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on October 27, 2011 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church, located at 3606 Beauchamp in The Heights. Immediately following the visitation, the funeral will be officiated by The Reverend Beth Marie Halvorsen at 2:00 pm. The funeral will be followed by a graveside service at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Memorial donations in Emma’s name can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Zion Lutheran Church, or the charity of your choice.
