Erica Santos Alvarez

Erica Santos Alvarez passed away on March 9th, 2024, in her hometown of Houston, Texas, at the tender age of 24. Born to Theresa Ramirez and Juan Alvarez on June 14th, 1999 in Houston, Erica was a shining light and a source of pride for her family. She was a daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend to many, and she was beloved by all who knew her.

Erica went to Milby High School and worked as a care giver for the elderly, dedicating her time to helping those who needed help the most. Her passions included traveling, taking care of children, spending time with her family and friends, and volunteering in her community. Erica's bright smile, kind heart, and her innate ability to illuminate any room were her defining traits. She was deeply cherished and loved by her family and friends, and was known for her giving heart and willingness to help anyone in need.

Erica especially loved being with her family and friends, and she loved any opportunity to bring family and friends together for special occasions to share in socializing and fellowship. Blessed with a big, giving heart, Erica was best known for her willingness to help anyone in need - no matter what the need may be. She was always there for whoever needed her, and was steadfast in her loyalty and commitment to those that she knew and loved. She leaves a legacy of kindness, compassion, loyalty, commitment, and a loving heart - particularly for those who needed help the most.

Erica is preceded in death by her father, Juan Alvarez, and her grandmother, Sarah Rodriguez.

Erica is survived by her mother, Theresa Ramirez, her stepfather Joe Ramirez, her sisters Samantha Alvarez and Sabrina Alvarez, her older brother Eleno Rodriguez, her step-brothers Joe Ramirez, III, Jason Ramirez, step-sisters Jillian Ramirez, Jessica Crawford, and Mia Ramirez, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who deeply mourn her passing.

A service to celebrate Erica's life will be held on March 16th, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Forest Park Funeral Home, located at 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas. Following the service, Erica will be laid to rest at Forest Park Cemetery

Erica Santos Alvarez will be remembered as a bright, kind-hearted, loving individual who made a lasting impact on everyone she met. Her memory will be cherished forever by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
