OBITUARY

Erlinda G. Davila

June 22, 1935August 7, 2018

Erlinda was born in San Benito, Texas to Juan and Melquiades Gonzalez. Due to her mother’s early death, she was raised by her older sister, Evagelina Pena. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Ramiro N. Davila, and started a family, Maria and Rose. The family moved to Houston in 1963 and were long time parishioners of Resurrection Catholic Church. She was a Stanley Home Products dealer for over 50 years and won numerous top sales awards. She enjoyed quilting, but she enjoyed socializing with friends even more. She is survived by her daughters Maria Davila, husband Mario Garza, Rose Scharning, husband Knut Scharning, and grandchildren, Catherine, Christopher, Axel, and Lukas and sister Evagelina Pena and numerous relatives. We will miss her kind heart, sweet nature, and wonderful laugh.

My heartfelt condolences to Lupe and Rosie and the rest of the family. Linda was a beautiful and sweet hearted neighbor. We loved her dearly. She would brighten the day when she would visit my Mom (Henrietta), and she gave her hope when she was battling her sickness. It was such a delight when I was visiting about a year ago and Linda was driving by; she saw me and immediately stopped the car, jumped out, and came to give me a big hug. I was so happy to see her and get that hug from her. I know that she and my Mom are rejoicing in the presence of God right now. We can hold on dearly to the promise that we will see them again in glory one day.

Sincerely,

Lisa Guidry and Family, Mike, Krista, Abbey Rose and Blake
