To Anita and all her family, we, my husband, Francisco and family would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies on the death of our beloved cousin, Ernest.

I remember when Ernest came to live with his Tia Flavia and Tio Teddy Mata (my parents) in Fresno, California. It must have been in the 50's. What I remember most about him was his abiding faith. He became a member of our church and before we knew it, he knew all the priests, nuns and the community!

May God welcome into his kingdom a beloved son.

Thanks to the Mendoza family for treating me like one of their own for many years. Mr Mendoza spoke to me about God and his love for me on many occasions. He Taught me about my guardian angel. I will forever be in debt ❤️

I first met Ernest in early 1984. His wife, Annie, is a big sister to my son John's father, Manuel. Ernest was always very passionate about God, and about his ministry with the Carmelite nuns. He was a true man of God, which is indeed a rarity these days. May God rest his soul.

I will forever be grateful for this devout and faithful servant of God. Ernest had a way with words, and shared so many meaningful stories with me. He had a way of drawing you in, and holding your attention. Ernest was the first in line to pray for, and over, my daughter, Daniella, during the time she spent in a coma. He had such faith that she’d be healed, and just listening to his prayers brought me such comfort. Through Ernest, we were made aware of the Carmelites, especially Sister Elsa, who dedicated so many of their prayers and masses for my daughter. Ernest, you will always hold a special place in my heart. Praying for the repose of your beautiful soul. May you rest in eternal peace. No more pain, and no more suffering. You are Home!

Mr. Mendoza has been a great role model for me, a true Blessing in my life. He has been for many, many years of what a Father, True Friend , Grandfather, Brother Knight , Leader should Represent. For myself and I can imagine for a lot of others If I can only reflect half of what Mr. Mendoza has given and showed us in this life I know that I am on the right path to the gates of Heaven. My Sincere Condolences to Mrs. Mendoza, my Brother John and all the Honorable Mendoza Family. We Love you all.

Ernest was a very giving person and I know he did a lot of things for my mom, his mother in law around the house and we all really appreciated his help. But I think one of the things I remember most about him is how he almost always had raffle tickets(for various charities and church bazaars) to sell in his pocket. I’d always smile when we would be talking and he would pull those out!! Bless you Ernest I know you’re in heaven smiling down on us!! Believe me we all need your prayers 🙏🙏🙏
