Ester Lorene Sumrall Jones, 90, of Houston, Texas passed away on November 28, 2013. She was a talented seamstress and quilter as well as a great cook and passionate gardener. Above all Ester loved being a caretaker and giving to those she loved. Ester is predeceased by her husband of 49 years Hugh W. Jones SR, and her brothers Alfred Sumrall, James Sumrall and Tommy Gene Sumrall. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Hugh W. Jones JR and his wife Carmen, Elsie Darlene Jones and JoAnn Jatzlau-Dupuis, grandchildren Misty Ann Jatzlau and Mandy Jo Jatzlau, great grandchildren Teagan Loudin Jatzlau and Tyler Loudin Jatzlau, her brother Eldon Sumrall, sister in law Gerena Sumrall, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and several close friends. A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2013 at 9 am at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery located at 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas 77023.
