Ether Betty Gray, 88, of Splendora, TX passed away on December 31, 2015. She was born on September 8, 1927 to Charles Horace and Ether Lea in Brown County, TX. She married Monroe “Omar” Gray on July 20, 1946 in Brownwood, TX.
Betty is survived by: her son, Garlyn Gray and wife Sherryl of Cleveland; daughter, Sharon Usher of Splendora; 7 grandchildren, Jamie Gray and wife Beth, Bradley Gray and wife Christie, Brittany Ellis and husband Chris, April Loughner, Thomas Saunders and wife Kristen, Christina Barnes and husband Bill, and Charles Saunders and wife Tara; 19 great grandkids, Tyler, Alexandra, Garrett and Colton Gray, Carley Hill, Grayson Ellis, Grace and Faith Loughner, Kaden, Evelyn, Landon, Mark, Matthew and Michael Saunders, Joshua, Kaley, Shiloh, Jordan and Kendall Barnes; and brother, Bryan Lea.
Betty was preceded in death by: her husband, Omar; her parents; daughter, Glenda Jean Gray; brothers, Blake and Robert Lea; and sister, Dorothy Hitt.
Visitation is on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 5-9PM, and funeral services are on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 2PM, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with the Rev. E. Wayne Law officiating. Betty’s burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale cemetery.
