Dear Natalie, Coincidently, I had a dream of your Dad this week. He was younger, joking and laughing,...the center of attention, that's how I remember him most...good times. Please accept this late and tardy condolences on the passing of your Father/Grandfather of the Balderas family. I met your Dad in Ft. Worth and was always impressed with his Love of Life and his family. I had been thinking of him for the last several weeks and wanted to communicate with him, saddly to find he had passed. Tears came just as I read his guest book. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A year ago, I received the dreadful phone call that you were in the hospital. I keep playing that conversation over and over in my head.  The girls and I were completely heartbroken and in disbelief, when we got the terrible news. We rushed to get to the hospital as fast as we could to be by your side. Today, we will be together, just as you've always wanted us to be. We think of you all the time and pray for you every day. We find comfort with each other and knowing your resting in peace but, it's still so  hard Dad, our tears just won't stop. We miss you so much!

 The pain of you being gone is still so very fresh. I don't know how this Christmas is going to be but I know my days still don't feel complete without you.
 I still find myself asking why? Why dad? Why to me? Why to my family? And I'm embarrassed to say I blame god. I was mad, angry and just didn't understand. Natalie always told me “NEVER to blame god or to put blame on anything. Dad was a man of god and went to church every Sunday.”  Gloria “God isn't punishing us nor him”. At the time I heard them but still thought what I thought.  Then came to realized how could I have ever blamed the lord?! A part of me thinks that it was dad that helped me come to that realization. My question may never be answered but I know you will always be in our hearts and apart of us! And safe in the Lords arms..

Without a doubt Christmas is not going to be easy this year without you. It was a very hard Thanksgiving to get through but we turned to God to get us through it. Us girls are closer then ever and I know you are proud of us for keeping our word that we would take care of each other. It's been 4 short weeks since the last time I kissed your handsome face but it feels like 4 years. People say that time heals… but does it really? It's been 10 long days since the LORD called you home...I think about you all the time.  There are some great memories that I shared with you within the last 17 or so years. Although I never got the chance to meet you face to face, I know you were a wonderful man and an outstanding father to your daughters.  I would be there with Natalie when you would call her three times a day, everyday and I would watch her face light up every time she'd see a call from you. I remember meeting him at the Boy's Club on 19th & Leavitt when I was about 10 years old, we seemed to quickly become friends, a friendship that lasted well into our adult life.
