

Eva Audrey Ingersoll Cavasas, 96, of Friendswood, TX, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 29, 2015. Eva was born on March 2, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah and traveled the country with her father, Audley Ingersoll, owner of the Ingersoll Amusement Co. and several Luna Parks including the parks in Houston and Galveston. Eva attended high school at Sacred Heart in Galveston, TX where she met Thomas (Bo) Cavasas, her husband of 74 years. A survivor of the Texas City explosion, Eva moved with her family to Houston where they resided until settling in Pearland in 1968. Eva is preceded by her husband Thomas and great granddaughter Audrey. Eva is survived by son, Gary Cavasas of Sugarland, TX; daughter, Stacey Womack Jury of Friendswood, TX ; grandchild, Wende Womack Bendik & husband, Milan Bendik; and great grandson, Carson all residing in Orlando, FL. Known to family and friends as Gamma, she will be remembered as a loving mother and fun loving grandmother who was a regular on thrill rides well into her 80’s. We were blessed to have had her in our lives.
Private services will be held. Condolences may be sent to the Cavasas family in care of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
