Fabian Lee Gorka passed away on March 1, 2026 at the age of 74 surrounded by his loving family. He was a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew him — a kind, thoughtful, and genuine person whose warmth and humor left a lasting impression.
Fabian was born on October 24,1951 to Mack and Burnialee Gorka in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 49 years, Elaine Marie Pilat Gorka, who passed away May 26,2022. Fabian is survived by his loving family who will carry his memory in their hearts. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and spirit.
Fabian was a hard working man and didn’t have time for many hobbies. However, he had a passion for sports. He enjoyed baseball, basketball and football. When his kids were growing up he coached little league softball for them numerous years. During that time he became passionate about umpiring softball/baseball games and truly enjoyed it. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends any chance he had. Fabian brought a sense of joy and energy that was unmistakable to everyone he met.
Fabian’s family remembers him as a loving husband, dad, grandpa and recently a great grandpa. Fabian always made time to listen, support, and uplift others. We will remember his sense of humor, love, support and the way he could make ordinary moments feel special. The love he showed to his family and others will always be remembered.
