To my dearest father,
Words cannot begin to express my love and adoration for such a wonderful man. I cannot sleep just remembering every joy he brought to all of our lives. I know Elena cannot even put into words how much she misses you. You were not only her grandfather, but in many ways her Dad too. Life seems too short. The past several years have been so hard on you with all of the health troubles you fought in your final years. I am just glad all of us had that extra time with you. I know you could have given up years ago, but you stayed around for us to give us the love and guidance only a real father can provide. Given it is 5 AM I should probably try to get some rest. I miss you more than you can imagine and I pray that you can watch and protect us from heaven. From a very grateful daughter, thank you for teaching me what true love is and how to express it. I cannot wait to meet you in heaven and I pray that you
Keep a close eye on us from up there.

Love forever and ever,
Your thankful and grateful daughter,
Stephanie

To my dear Uncle Fernando,
May you rest in peace in heaven with your Mom and Dad, your brothers and sister and all dearly departed before you. We were, and still are, one big happy family with treasured memories of happy family times.
We keep you, Aunt Susie, Angie, Stephanie, Laura, Elena and Victoria in our prayers and send our love to all.
Your smile, laughter, funny stories (of all the "daring" things the Cardenas boys did) in our hearts to cherish and treasure. Thank you for sharing your love of life with the family,

We will miss you but find comfort in knowing that one day we will meet again in heaven.

Love always ,
Your niece Teresa
(Say hello to my Dad and give him a big hug and kiss from Mom, myself, Paul, David, Joy, De, John, Mandy and JD (who he never go to meet)
