Fernando was a great friend. We use to work together at Compaq and had lots of fun and crazy times at work.
Unfortunately we lost contact after the merger of Compaq and HP, and was sad to hear of Fernando's passing recently.
I will miss the great times we had together and wish Tammy and his family the best.
My prayers are with you my friend.

Jr. - I feel extremely sad and lost for words. You never knew nor did I ever express what an influence you were in my early years as a kid. Your “West Coast” - So Cal style stuck with me forever. The freestyle bike, skateboard, and muscle car magazines cut out posters you had in your back room of your Galena Park house. I looked forward to the weekends hoping my parents would let me stay the night to hang out with you. I went to Astroworld for the first time with my parents and you and Jessica.
Me and my dad were blessed to have hung out with you for several weeks working on your Chevelle. Swapping out the engine to hopefully get you down the quarter mile quicker. We had some good times and sucks that we never hung out later in life. Just know that I always thought about you, Michael, and Jessica. Mucho cariño para Tio Fernando, Tía Nico, Michael, and Jessica. Tammy, we have never met but stay strong.

May you Rest In Peace - “Killer Clown”

This is truly shocking and extremely upsetting news. Although we did not really know Fernando personally , we do know and consider Tammy a family member. The one thing I can be of witness to is that Tammy always seemed very happy with her soulmate ! And for that I want to personally thank you ! No one deserved it more than her! The 22 years you two cherished can never be erased or forgotten. Just as you my friend will always be remembered in our hearts.
May you rest in paradise and know that you are going to be missed beyond words!! But rest knowing that we are here for Tammy always!

This still feels so unreal to me, to lose an amazing uncle so suddenly. My uncle Fernando will always be remembered for his heart of gold and kindness towards others. And I really mean heart of GOLD, I have never met a nicer person than my uncle Fernando. He was always there in times of need and loved his family so much. He set such a great example for his nieces and nephews of how to be kind at all times. He treated my aunt Tammy like a queen and he is the PERFECT example of how a husband should love & treat his wife. I thank god for all the sweet, beautiful memories we have of him. We will miss him so much.

Fernando’s wife, Tammy, and I became next door neighbors at the age of 2 and have been long-time friends for 47 years . I consider her my “sister-from-another-mister” and Fernando my “brother-in-love.” He fit right in and was a piece of the family puzzle that we didn’t realize was missing and his absence will leave a void now that he is gone. If you spent just a little time with him, you felt like you’d been friends forever. His demeanor was subtle, subdued and relaxed which made his fierce wittiness all the more surprising and funny. When Fernando was around, there was plenty of smiles and laughter. I so enjoyed having him and Tammy celebrate life with us at many of my son’s birthdays, our family Christmases, birthday dinners or just hanging out. After my mother passed away, Fernando and Tammy joined me to help my dad through his grief. We met for monthly pool tournaments and potlucks at the Sons of Hermann to fellowship with dad and his friends, and again, Fernando fit right in. There are no words to describe how deeply Fernando will be missed. If you had the joy of knowing and experiencing him, I pray that you will pay his kindness forward. The world could use more of his kind of love!

I had the privilege of working with Fernando at EZPawn for several years and it was an absolute pleasure. Fernando was a kind, patient and driven individual that was always willing to lend his support when asked. He was a truly good and honorable individual and will be truly missed. To his wife and family, I pray God’s blessings during your time of bereavement, he will truly be missed.
