Frances was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, until she was 16 years old when her family moved to Galena Park, Texas. She graduated Galena Park Senior High in 1949.
Frances was a successful Real Estate Broker in the North Channel area on the East side of Houston for 45 years, spanning from 1975 to her "semi-retirement" in 2020. She assisted thousands of clients during her career, representing buyers, and sellers, as well, with their real estate needs. A large portion of her clients were newlyweds trying to settle into the home of their dreams. Frances won countless awards for being the top producer, as well as most homes listed. She was also recognized at the end of her illustrious career with a "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Houston Area Realtors Association.
Frances is preceded in death by her two husbands, first husband, Fred Burl Davenport and second husband, William Chubb, father, Dillard Thomas Jones, mother Mazie Jones, and her brother, Edward Jones.
She is survived by her five children, Susan Leigh (Davenport) Dean, Thomas B Davenport (Tommy), Randall Edward Davenport (Randy) and wife, Debbie, Gayla Ann (Davenport) Starnes and husband Robbie, and Michael Alan Davenport and wife Catherine. Frances is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are being coordinated with Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home located at 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, Texas.
Wake/Visitation - Friday, 6/27, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Service (including graveside service) - Saturday, 6/28, from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
Luncheon - 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
All funeral activities will be held on The Forest Park Funeral Home grounds.
