He was born March 8, 1930 in Ghent, Minnisota to Frank and Nellie (Clement) Coquyt. He worked for Gulf Oil starting in 1961 and retired in 1985 then went to work for Metropolitan Life as a sales agent in 2000. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Francis was a jokester by nature and enjoyed playing and telling jokes to everyone. He was a people person and a friend to all.
Francis is survived by his children, Kenneth Coquyt and wife, Rhonda; Cathy Ciarella and husband, David; sister-in-law, Nelda Coquyt; grandchildren, Adam Ciarella (Shelly), Jared Ciarella (Erin), Brian Coquyt (Amy), great-grandchildren, Lily Coquyt, Emily, Ben, Kate, and Sam Ciarella. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nellie Coquyt, wife Julliette whom he was her caretaker until her passing in 2005, brother, Norman Coquyt and sister, Martha St. Germain.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Ciarella, Adam Ciarella, Jared Ciarella, Kenneth Coquyt and Brian Coquyt.
