

Our beloved father Francisco G. Macias, 82, of Needville, TX. peacefully died and joined our Lord and Savior on Wednesday January 29, 2014. He was born to the late Filomeno and Apollonia Macias on March 17, 1931 in Arquitrso, Mexico. He was the second of nine children in a hardworking and loving family. He met his sweetheart Maria Concepcion and married on December 19, 1956. They resided in Houston, TX. before relocating to Needville, TX. In 2000, Francisco worked for the City of Houston as a groundskeeper for the city’s municipal golf courses until he retired after 22 years. He was passionate about his job and developed a keen sense in landscaping and of course had a green thumb. Francisco was a past member of Resurrection Catholic Church and now a parishioner of St. Michaels of Needville, TX. He loved to cook, especially for his family on Sundays and enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to tend to his two acres in Needville and building leather goods and small furniture. Francisco is survived by his five children: Marco Antonio and wife Terry Macias of Houston, TX; Yvonne Chavez and husband Retired command sergeant major Daniel Chavez of Killeen, TX; Salvador and wife Paula Macias of Missouri city, TX; Cynthia Lourdes Macias of Needville, TX; Marcia Brigida and husband Eric Christopher St. Pierre of Boise, ID. He is survived by twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren: Chasity Chalice and husband Staff Sargent Randal James Pereira of Anchorage, AK; Dr. Jessica and Husband Dr. Thomas F. Martin of Laredo, TX; Staff Sargent Daniel Jacob Chavez of Harker Heights, TX; Lauren Nicole Macias of League city, TX; Andrea Nicole Pline of Boise, ID; Eric James Pline of Moscow, ID; Alexandria Fina and husband Marco Antonio Lopes Jr. of Houston, TX; Audrey Celeste Macias of Missouri city, TX; Brooke Dorian Macias of Missouri city, TX; Olivia Macias of Needville, TX; Candace Grace Macias of Houston, TX.; Corbin Luke Cruz of Needville, Tx. Great grandchildren: Isabella Denise Chavez, Rylan James Pereira, Cerynise Elizabeth Pereira, Temperance Rose Pereira, Aislinn Grace Pereira, Luisana Marie Pereira, Luke Thomas Martin, Marco Antonio Lopez III. Francisco viewing is scheduled for February 2, 2014 from 5 to 9 pm with a rosary at 7:00pm at Forest Park 6900 Lawndale Ave. A memorial service is scheduled for February 3, 2014 at 1:00pm at the same location in the main chapel.
