Born on June 4, 1927 in Mexico, D.F., he grew up in Cuernavaca, Mexico where he spent most of his teen years traveling in South America working overseas. In one of those excursions he met the love of his life and decided to settled down in Houston, Texas. In his search for financial security for his young growing family, he found a job as a gardener and chauffeur to a prominent family at a private residence where he remained for 45+ years. He developed a passion for numerous interests such as ballroom dancing and cooking but the highlight of his life was baseball-specifically coaching. He loved baseball & helping others so he combined the two and taught many neighborhood children the sport of baseball. This great need to help others also lead him to join the Knights of Columbus where he achieved the honor of becoming Grand Knight. His golden years were joyfully filled with the presence of his grand & great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia R. Moreno and daughter Irma R. Moreno.
He is survived by his son Frank J. (wife Bibi) Moreno; daughter Virginia Moreno; son Moises M. Moreno (partner Jose Hernandez); and grandchildren Stephanie Moreno (deceased), Savannah Saucedo, Victoria V. (husband Israel) Manzanares, and Fabian M. Saucedo. The family would like to thank the nurses at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.
