He was the love of my life. I will forever miss him.  Until we are together again.

You were my closest genetic link, my only bridge to connected history, and my favorite debate partner. There was never a man on this Earth that held as much of my respect and loyalty as you Dad. That which once belonged to you, now belongs solely to my husband Michael. 
I hope to find strength enough to accept a new reality that I can't just call you and talk anytime. So many years ago, that wasn't an option. Now, I feel that loss again only, this time it is magnified. 
Until peace comes, I will just have to frame every debate the way I would with you. Surely, that will make your presence feel close for a while.

Thank you for bringing me in to the world. 
I am, and always will be proud you were my father. I know you were proud of me as well. 

I hope to bring comfort and peace to Emily someday. It has not been easy Dad. I always needed the right advice on that. Maybe you can send some signs or, something now that you  are with a higher authority. 

I love you so much Dad. I miss you much more than either of us probably thought possible.
