

As a young boy, Frank attended Trinity Lutheran School and as an adult, he was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. As a teen, he graduated from Sam Houston High School. Frank served his country in the Korean War in the 7th Armored Division, and was awarded a Combat Infantryman Badge for personally seeing active ground combat.
After returning from the war, Frank began his career as a shoe salesman for Burt’s Shoe Store and then spent ¬¬¬31 years working as a manager in several different departments at the Sears & Roebuck Store on South Main Street.
Frank was a devoted member of the Arabia Shriners, where he was the Commander of the Legion of Honor in 2002 – 2003, as well as a member of the Royal Order of Jesters. He frequently served as the Chairman at Shriners’ Hospital for Children for the Legion of Honor Christmas in July event, where he coordinated the music, food and gifts to children in the hospital.
Frank’s favorite hobby was fishing, and he could often be found out on Double Lakes in Guy, TX or Galveston Island with his fishing rod and tackle box, in the company of friends or family.
Frank had a great sense of humor and would talk and tease anyone near him. So many will miss his smile, laugh, hugs and kisses. He was truly the most favorite person in many of his friends’ and families’ lives.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sievert Schultz and Dora Mae Richardson Schultz, and his daughter, Glenna Williams. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Barbara Schultz; daughters, Heidi Lord and husband, Chris Lord and Susan O'Connor and fiancé, Wally Macey; Son, Frank Mark Schultz and wife, Cathy Schultz; granddaughters, Kelly Kiefer and husband, Alex Kiefer, Melissa Williams, Hollie O'Connor, Kathleen O'Connor, Megan Lord, Morgan Lord, Abbey Schultz, Mollie Delzeit and husband, Ryan Delzeit; grandsons, Kevin Williams, Frank David Schultz and wife, Becca Schultz, Ethan Schultz and wife, Christie Schultz; great-granddaughters, Kylie Kiefer, Chloe Schultz and Cheyenne Schultz; great-grandsons, Keaton Kiefer and Frank Benjamin Schultz; sister, Faye Derkowski and husband, Herman Derkowski and brother, Stephen Schultz and wife, Veronica Schultz.
Visitation with the family was held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Services began at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, in the sanctuary of St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1515 Hillendahl. The Reverend Timothy Duerr, officiated. Interment with Military Honors were held at Historic Hollywood Cemetery.
