Born on November 23, 1941, in Wheeler, Texas, Franklin was the beloved son of Woodvile Dempsey Lawrence and Fern Meyers. He married the love of his life, Soila Reyna Lawrence, and together they shared forty-four wonderful years in Houston, Texas.
Franklin was a dedicated carpenter by trade, known for his skill and strong work ethic. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing golf with friends, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros, and participating in local golf tournaments. He was also a devoted member of St. Christopher Catholic Church.
Franklin will be remembered for his kind heart, steady hands, and unwavering loyalty to his family and friends.
Franklin’s legacy of love, craftsmanship, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A visitation for Franklin will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Angels. A committal service will occur Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
