Born on August 15, 1941, Fredda was a lifelong Houstonian and a proud graduate of Reagan High School, Class of 1959. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward “Ed” and Elsie Olive, and her beloved husband, William “Bill” Yurk.
Fredda is survived by her daughter, Lisa Bosse and her husband, Michael; her granddaughters, Kirby Nemec and her husband, Jon, and Kendall Bosse; and her great-grandson, Carter Nemec, whom she adored. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who will miss her dearly.
Fredda also had a deep connection to the Masonic family. She was a Sweetheart of Reagan DeMolay, supported the Rainbow Girls when Lisa was a member, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She served as Worthy Matron of Andral Vann Chapter #741 and helped charter Katy Chapter #1121, where she remained an active member.
Fredda never met a stranger. She had a warm and welcoming spirit, a great sense of humor, and a way of making people feel like friends from the moment they met her. She remained close to many of her Reagan High School classmates throughout her life, cherishing the friendships they had formed so many years ago. She loved her family deeply and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandson.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff and caregivers of Veranda House Assisted Living, where Fredda lived for three and a half years, for the kindness, compassion, and love they showed her and our family, and to Horizons Hospice for the love and compassion they provided during her final days.
Fredda will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, kindness, generous spirit, infectious laugh, and quick wit, as well as the many lives she touched throughout her 84 years. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry her love with them always.
