Gabriel Rivera Castillo

Gabriel Rivera Castillo, age 73, of Houston, Texas left to be with the Lord Friday, August 13, 2021.

Gabriel was married to his lovely wife Marie for 45 years.

After graduating high school, Gabriel enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served four years 1967-1970. During that time, he served in the Vietnam war for at least a year or more. He attained the rank of Sergeant and was awarded with various medals of honor.

Gabriel had a good career in the American Freight business for more than 30 years and retired in 2010. He loved riding his motorcycle and traveled a fair amount of time with family members both in and out of the U.S.

Who was this man? Gabriel loved the Lord and was a true example of a Godly, loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. His wife Marie described him as heavenly, a sweet and caring person, nice to everyone – family and friends. He loved his family a lot.

Gabriel is survived by his loving wife Marie of 45 years. His daughters, Karianne, Lillian, and Lisa and stepchildren Eddie and his wife Cindy, Eva and her husband Jim, and Cindy. Three brothers and one sister, Jimmy and his wife Maria, Henry, Richard, and Nora and her husband Adam. Gabriel also left behind twelve grandchildren Gilbert, Raul, Rose, Martin, Marcus, Eddie, Robert, Rio, Gabriella, Jena Beth, Matthew and Erica. Ten great grandchildren Sophia, Valerie, Lisa Marie, Benito, Andrew, Tommy, Rio, Selena, Isabella, and Collin and numerous nieces and nephews, last count was at 26. His beloved dog, Brownie. Gabriel touched us all with his love and kindness.
