Mrs. Gensie L. (Avriett) Hawkins, age 88, of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. Gensie was born in Mer Rouge, Louisiana.

A visitation for Gensie will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Carl Barnes Funeral Home, Inc, 746 W 22nd Street, Houston, TX 77008. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 746 W 22nd Street, Houston, TX 77008. A committal service will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, Texas 77088.
